# Wild Mammals (Protection) Act 1996, Section 3: Interpretation.

Extent: E+W+S

In this Act “wild mammal” means any mammal which is not a “protected animal” within the meaning of the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
In this Act “wild mammal” means any mammal which is not a protected animal within the meaning of section 17 of the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 (asp 11).
