# The Willington C Gas Pipeline Order 2014, Article 22: Acquisition of subsoil

Extent: E+W+S

(1) In connection with the creation and compulsory acquisition of the new rights referred to in article 18 (compulsory acquisition of rights, etc.) and article 27 (statutory undertakers), the undertaker may acquire compulsorily such rights in the subsoil as may be required for any purpose for which the previously-mentioned rights may be acquired under those provisions for the purposes of the authorised development.
(2) Where the undertaker acquires any rights in the subsoil under paragraph (1), the undertaker is not required to acquire an interest in any other part of the land.
