# The Wireless Telegraphy (Exemption) Regulations 2003, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 12th February 2003
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1) and 3(1)(a) and (b) of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949 and now vested in her, the power conferred on her by section 84(1)(b) of the Telecommunications Act 1984, and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations—
