# The Woolwich Ferry Order 2000, Article 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) This Order may be cited as the Woolwich Ferry Order 2000 and shall come into force on 3rd July 2000.
(2) In this Order—
“the 1885 Act” means the Metropolitan Board of Works (Various Powers) Act 1885
“the 1986 Order” means the Woolwich Ferry Order 1986, and
“the Woolwich Ferry” means the ferry established, maintained, worked and regulated under section 14 of the 1885 Act.
