# The Young Offender Institution Rules 1988, Article 71: Viewing of young offender institutions


(1) No outside person shall be permitted to view a young offender institution unless authorised by statute or the Secretary of State.
(2) No person viewing a young offender institution shall be permitted to take a photograph, make a sketch or communicate with an inmate unless authorised by statute or the Secretary of State.
