# The Young Offender Institution Rules 2000, Article 67: General duty of officers


(1) It shall be the duty of every officer to conform to these Rules and the rules and regulations of the young offender institution, to assist and support the governor in their maintenance and to obey his lawful instructions.
(2) An officer shall inform the governor promptly of any abuse or impropriety which comes to his knowledge.
