# The Zoonoses Order 1988, Article 2: Interpretation


In this Order —
“the Act” means the Animal Health Act 1981;
“animals” means bovine animals, sheep, goats, deer and all other ruminating animals;
“the Ministers” means the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly.
