In this Order:

  • “the A34” means the A34 Trunk Road near Chieveley in the District of West Berkshire;

  • “the M4” means the M4 Motorway near Chieveley in the District of West Berkshire;

  • “Junction 13” means the junction of the M4 with the A34;

  • “carriageway” means any way (other than a cycle track) comprised in the trunk road over which the public have a right of way for the passage of vehicles and which has a surface suitable for the exercise of that right;

  • “on-slip” means any road leading to the A34; and

  • “off-slip” means any road leading from the A34.
