The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 21 of Schedule 1 to the Academies Act 2010f1 and section 569(4) of the Education Act 1996f2.

2010 c. 32. Schedule 1 was substituted by section 63 of, and Schedule 14 to, the Education Act 2011 (c.21). Section 17(4) of the Academies Act 2010 requires section 13 of that Act (and therefore Schedule 1) to be read as if it was contained in the Education Act 1996 and “regulations” has the meaning given by section 579(1) of the 1996 Act.
