Section 53 Adopted Children Register and indexC1C2
Scotland
The Registrar General must continue to maintain—
a register to be called the Adopted Children Register, and
an index of the Adopted Children Register.
No entries may be made in the Adopted Children Register other than entries—
directed to be made in it by adoption orders, or
required to be made under schedule 1.
The provisions of the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) Act 1965 (c. 49) with regard to the correction of errors in entries apply in relation to entries in the Adopted Children Register as they apply in relation to entries in any register of births.
