The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by articles 60(1) and 129(5) of the Air Navigation Order 2000f1 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1Citation and Commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 30th March 2001.

2Amendment of the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 1994

The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 1994f1 shall be further amended by substituting for the definition of “Technical Instructions” in regulation 3(1)—

  • ““Technical Instructions” means the 1999–2000 English language edition of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air as amended by the addendum to those Instructions dated 8th December 2000 which was approved and published by decision of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation;”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations further amend the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 1994. The definition of “Technical Instructions” is amended so as to include an addendum to the 1999–2000 edition of the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Goods by Air.
