Paragraph 23 F1
A project licence must include a condition requiring the holder to ensure that where a regulated procedure has been applied to an animal as part of the specified programme of work a suitably qualified person classifies the severity of the procedure as “non-recovery”, “mild”, “moderate” or “severe” F2....
Section 5BA applies for the purposes of sub-paragraph (1) as it applies for the purposes of section 5B(3)(c), but as if the reference in section 5BA(5) to the Secretary of State were a reference to the suitably qualified person mentioned in sub-paragraph (1).
For the purposes of this paragraph, a series of regulated procedures applied to an animal for a particular purpose is to be treated as constituting a single regulated procedure.
