The repeal of the former Act shall not affect the operation of any requirement imposed under section 16 of that Act before the repeal or any powers exercisable under that section in relation to any such requirement.
The repeal of the former Act shall not affect the operation of section 17 of that Act in any case in which a person or persons to carry out an investigation under that section have been appointed before the repeal.
Sections 42, 43 and 44 of this Act shall have effect in relation to a contravention of section 1 or 39 of the former Act as they have effect in relation to a contravention of section 3 or 35 of this Act.
