Regulation 10 Harmonisation with payments made under other legislationI1

England and Wales

Where a direct payment is made for an adult for whom payments are made under section 12A (direct payments for health care) of the National Health Service Act 2006f1 (“the 2006 Act”), the local authority must take reasonable steps to co-ordinate the systems, processes and requirements which it applies or imposes in relation to the direct payment with those which apply in relation to the payments made under the 2006 Act with a view to minimising the administrative or other burdens which they place on the adult for whom, or the nominated or authorised person to whom, the local authority makes the direct payment.
