Paragraph 8 Tuberculosis compensation where both paragraphs 6 and 7 applyI1

This paragraph applies where both paragraphs 6 and 7 apply in respect of an animal.

Where this paragraph applies, the compensation payable in respect of the animal’s slaughter is 50% of the compensation which would otherwise be payable in accordance with paragraphs 2 to 5.

The Secretary of State must notify the owner in writing of the reason for the decision to reduce compensation in accordance with sub-paragraph (2).
