(1)
This Act may be cited as the Charities Act 1985; and the Act of 1960 and this Act may be cited together as the Charities Acts 1960 and 1985.

This Act shall come into force on a day appointed by the Secretary of State by order in a statutory instrument and different days may be appointed for different provisions and for different purposes.
(3)
This Act shall not extend to Scotland or Northern Ireland.
