(1)
This Act may be cited as the Children’s Homes Act 1982.

This Act shall come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may appoint by an order made by statutory instrument, and different days may be appointed for, or for different purposes of, different provisions of this Act.
(3)
This Act extends to England and Wales only.
