Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Civil Partnership (Armed Forces) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 7th December 2005.

In this Order—

  • “the Act” means the Civil Partnership Act 2004,

  • “civil partnership register” means a register supplied to the registering officer by the Registrar General for England and Wales,

  • “registering officer” means an officer referred to in section 211(1)(b) of the Act.
