The Secretary of State, after consultation with the President of the Competition Commission Appeal Tribunals in accordance with section 48(2) of the Competition Act 1998^f1 and after consultation with the Council on Tribunals in accordance with section 8(1) of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1992^f2, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 48(2), (3) and (4), 49(3) and 71 of the Act and Part II of Schedule 8 to the Act hereby makes the following rules:
