This Order revokes and replaces the Consular Fees Order 1996.

The only changes are in respect of visa fees (para 20). The fee for the 5 year multiple entry visa has been reduced; the fees for settlement and marriage visas have been increased.

The Order abolishes the fee for confirmation of the right of abode and reduces the cost of a certificate of entitlement.

The overall effect is intended to complete the implementation of full cost recovery for fee-bearing consular services.
