Article 5 Opening of an inquestI1

An inquest must be opened as soon as reasonably practicable after the date on which the coroner considers that the duty under section 6 applies.

At the opening of the inquest, the coroner must, where possible, set the dates on which any subsequent hearings are scheduled to take place.
