Article 51 Attachment of earnings

For Order 27, rule 1, there shall be substituted thefollowing—

“Interpretation

(1)

In this Order—

• “the Act of 1971”means the Attachment of Earnings Act 1971^f1and, unless the context otherwise requires, expressions used inthat Act have the same meanings as in that Act;

• “proper officer” does not include the district judge.

(2)

Order 1, rule 8 shall apply in relation to any power conferred by the Act of 1971 as it applies in relation to any power conferred by these rules.”.
