In Part 14 (Bail and custody time limits), in rule 14.2 (Exercise of court’s powers: general), for the second paragraph of the note to the rule substitute—

“When, by virtue of a direction given under section 51 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003^f1, a defendant attends a hearing through a live link, then under section 52A of that Act the defendant is to be treated as present in court.” .
