We, the Crown Court Rule Committee, in exercise of the powers conferred upon us by sections 84(1) and (2) and 86 of the Supreme Court Act 1981^f1, section 32C of the Children and Young Persons Act 1969^f2 and section 4 of the Children and Young Persons (Amendment) Act 1986^f3, hereby make the following Rules:—
