Section 251B (duty to share information) is amended as follows.

In subsection (5)(a), for “made by or under the Data Protection Act 1998” substitute “ of the data protection legislation ”.

After subsection (6) insert—

“(7)

In this section, “the data protection legislation” has the same meaning as in the Data Protection Act 2018 (see section 3 of that Act).”
