Explanatory note

This Order amends the Disease Control (England) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/1729). It removes an unnecessary definition and clarifies the type of licence referred to in article 14(3) of that Order. It also replaces an incorrect reference, in article 20(1), to the Transport of Animals (Cleansing and Disinfection) (England) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/255) with a reference to the Transport of Animals (Cleansing and Disinfection) (England) (No. 3) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/1724).

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
