Article 38 Smart meter communications service exemptions
This article applies for a period of 36 months beginning on the date on which this Order comes into force.
Paragraph (3) applies to a person who is not the holder of a licence under section 6(1)(f) of the Electricity Act 1989f1.
Exemption is granted from section 4(1)(e) of the Electricity Act 1989f2 to a person to whom this paragraph applies.
Paragraph (5) applies to a person who is not the holder of a licence under section 7AB(1)f3 of the Gas Act 1986.
Exemption is granted from section 5(1)(d)f4 of the Gas Act 1986 to a person to whom this paragraph applies.
