Paragraph 8 Settlement costs levy: revised calculations

(1)

The Settlement Body must, as soon as reasonably practicable after 16th March in a relevant financial year (“year Y”), calculate for each electricity supplier (“S”)—

(a)

S’s revised share of the settlement costs levy in respect of each month of year Y for which S is liable to pay settlement costs levy (“RSL_sm”);

(b)

S’s revised monthly settlement costs levy in respect of each month of year Y (“RML_sm”).

RSL_sm must be calculated in accordance with the formula—

R S L_{s m} = \frac{A S S P D_{s y}}{\sum_{l} A S S P D_{l y}} .

RML_sm must be calculated in accordance with the formula—

R M L_{s m} = A S C L_{y} \times R S L_{s m} \times \frac{1}{12} .

In this paragraph—

“ASCL_y” has the same meaning as in paragraph 7;
“ASSPD_sy” means the actual net demand of S during periods of high demand in year Y;
“∑_lASSPD_ly” means the sum of those amounts of actual net demand for every electricity supplier who is liable to pay settlement costs levy in the relevant month.
