Paragraph 12 Consequential amendments to secondary legislation

The Friendly Societies (Life Assurance Premium Relief) (Change of Rate) Regulations 1980^f1 are amended as follows.

In regulation 2, at the appropriate place, insert—

• ““relevant authority” means—

  1. (a)

     if the society is a PRA-authorised person within the meaning of section 2B of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the Prudential Regulation Authority, and

  2. (b)

     in any other case, the Financial Conduct Authority;”.

In regulations 3(3), 5 and 8, for “Chief Registrar of Friendly Societies” substitute “relevant authority”.
