Regulation 18 Interpretation of this Part

In this Part—

• “applicant” means a person who applies for a food and feed marketing authorisation^f1 under regulation 20 or 22;

• “authorisation-holder” means a person who has been issued a food and feed marketing authorisation under this Part;

• “Food Standards Advisory Committee” means the Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes or any advisory committee appointed under section 5(3) of the Food Standards Act 1999^f2;

• “representative” means a person, nominated by the applicant, who may be contacted in relation to the application for the food and feed marketing authorisation concerned.
