Paragraph 2

Paragraph (1)(a) does not include any person who –

(a)

has previously been an insured person under Part 1 of the National Insurance Act 1965^f1; or

(b)

is paying or has previously paid one or more of the following classes of contributions under the Social Security Act 1975^f2 or the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992^f3–

(i)

primary Class 1;

(ii)

Class 2; or

(iii)

Class 3.
