Section 22 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 (maintenance of schools) is amended as follows.

In subsection (1)—

(a)

in paragraph (b), the words “under section 28 or 31” are omitted, and

(b)

in paragraph (c), the words “under section 28” are omitted.

(3)

In subsection (4)(b), for the words from “under paragraph 2” to the end there is substituted “ under any enactment of providing new premises for the school ”.

(4)

In subsection (5)(b), for the words from “under paragraph 4” to the end there is substituted “ under any enactment of providing new premises for the school ”.
