Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

Schedule 3 is concerned with appeals against school exclusions on grounds of discipline and the effect of the amendment is to give governing bodies and local education authorities the right to make both written and oral representations to an appeal committee on an appeal by a pupil or parent.
