These Regulations make provision for the publication (no later than 1st August 1995) of information about matters relating to the provision of education for pupils with special educational needs in their schools by the governing bodies of county, voluntary, maintained special, grant–maintained and grant–maintained special schools.

The annual reports prepared after 1st August 1995 by such governing bodies must provide the prescribed information about their policy for pupils with special educational needs.
