Section 39 Transfer of registrations of persons already registeredI1
Where, immediately before the date on which this section comes into force—
a person was registered in the register maintained under section 3 of the 1998 Act, and
the person had satisfactorily completed a period of induction for the purposes of section 19 of that Act,
the person is deemed on and after that date to be registered in the category of school teacher in the register maintained under section 9 of this Act.
Where, immediately before the date on which this section comes into force—
a person was registered in the register maintained under section 3 of the 1998 Act, but
the person had not satisfactorily completed a period of induction for the purposes of section 19 of that Act,
the person is deemed on and after that date to be registered on a provisional basis in the category of school teacher in the register maintained under section 9.
