Paragraph 7 Government of Wales Act 2006I1I2

(1)

The Government of Wales Act 2006 is amended as follows.

(2)

In section 18 (effect of disqualification)—

(a)

in subsection (5), before paragraph (b) insert—

“(aa)

section 31 of the Elections Act 2022 (disqualification of offenders for holding elective office etc);”;

(b)

in subsection (6), for “the provision” substitute “either of the provisions”.

(3)

In Part 1 of Schedule 1A (categories of persons disqualified), after paragraph 6 insert—

“Persons subject to a disqualification order

6A

A person subject to a disqualification order under section 30 of the Elections Act 2022 (disqualification of offenders for holding elective office etc).”
