The Secretary of State makes this Order, which gives effect to recommendations submitted to the Secretary of State by the Electoral Commission for variations to the scheme for the making by the Electoral Commission of policy development grants, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 12(3) and (6) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000^f1.
