Article 2 Amendment of the Electronic Communications (Universal Service) Order 2003

The Electronic Communications (Universal Service) Order 2003^f1 is amended as follows.

In article 2 (interpretation), for the definition of “publicly available telephone service” substitute—

• ““publicly available telephone service” means a service made available to the public for originating and receiving directly or indirectly national or national and international calls and access to emergency services through a telephone number or numbers in a national or international telephone numbering plan;”

In the Schedule, in paragraph 1 (publicly available telephone services), in sub-paragraph (2) omit “and facsimile”.
