After section 40 of the GLAA 1999 insert—
“Additional functions
Additional functions of the Authority, Mayor and functional bodies
40ASchedule 27 to the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Act 2026 contains powers for the Secretary of State to confer further additional functions on the Authority, the Mayor and the functional bodies.”
