Article 7 Financial assistance by Department

Northern Ireland

(1)

The Department may make grants to any body having among its objects—

(a)

the furtherance of the objectives of the F1waste management plan in relation to the recovery and disposal of waste prepared by the Department under Article 19 of the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 (NI 19); or

(b)

the prevention or control of environmental pollution.

(2)

Grants under this Article shall be made—

(a)

in accordance with arrangements approved by the Department of Finance and Personnel; and

(b)

subject to such conditions as the Department may determine (including conditions for repayment in specified circumstances).
