Division 7 Brain-heart-infusion medium

The solution must be prepared in water and contain 15 % w/v brain-heart-infusion broth powder, prior to sterilisation (by autoclaving at 121 ^oC/15 minutes).

Following sterilisation antibiotics must be added as follows: 10 000 IU/ml penicillin G, 20 μg amphotericin B and 1 000 μg/ml gentamycin. Media may be stored at 4 ^oC for a maximum of two months.
