Article 1 Period of application and fishing opportunities

1.

For a period of three years, the fishing opportunities granted to European Union vessels under Article 5 of the Fisheries Partnership Agreement shall be as follows:

Highly migratory species (species listed in Annex 1 to the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea).

  • tuna seiners: 28 vessels,

  • surface longliners: 12 vessels.

Paragraph 1 shall apply subject to Articles 5, 6, 8 and 9 of this Protocol.
