Article 1 Name, seat and working language

1.
There shall be a European Research Infrastructure called the European Spallation Source (ESS).
2.
The European Spallation Source (ESS) shall have the legal form of a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) incorporated under the provision of Regulation (EC) No 723/2009 and be named European Spallation Source ERIC (‘the Organisation’).
3.
The Organisation shall have its statutory seat in Lund, Sweden.
4.
The working language of the Organisation shall be English.
