Division 4 DNA extraction

Total DNA shall be extracted using a DNA tissue extraction kit and the EZ1 Advanced XL Biorobot (Qiagen) following the manufacturers' instructions. An extraction control (Calf Thymus DNA) and a negative control (G2 buffer) shall run with each batch of samples. DNA shall be eluted into 50 μl volume. To ensure that the extraction has completed successfully, the DNA concentration for all samples and controls shall be determined using a Nano Drop machine. Extracted DNA shall be frozen at – 20 °C if not required immediately.
