regarding the adoption of its Rules of Procedure

THE EU-AFGHANISTAN JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Cooperation Agreement on Partnership and Development between the European Union and its Member States, on the one part, and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, of the other part, and in particular Article 49(5) thereof,

Whereas:

The Cooperation Agreement on Partnership and Development between the European Union and its Member States, on the one part, and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, of the other partf1 (‘the Agreement’), was signed on 18 February 2017 and is subject to provisional application pursuant to Article 59(2) and (3) of the Agreement and to Article 3 of Council Decision (EU) 2017/434f2.

The Joint Committee was established pursuant to Article 49 of the Agreement. In order to allow it to perform the tasks entrusted to it, the Joint Committee should adopt its Rules of Procedure,
