The expert shall be able to:

provide assistance to passengers concerning passenger rights.

    Knowledge of rules for inland waterway transport established by Regulation (EU) No 1177/2010, in particular as regards the non-discrimination between passengers with regard to transport conditions offered by carriers, the rights of passengers in cases of cancellation or delay, the minimum information to be provided to passengers, the handling of complaints and the general rules on enforcement.

    Ability to inform passengers on the applicable passenger rights.

    Ability to implement applicable procedures to provide access and professional assistance.
