Regulation (EC) No 214/2001 is amended as follows:

  1. 1..

    Article 3(1)(a) is replaced by the following:

    1. (a)

      ‘are approved in accordance with Article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Councilf1 and have the appropriate technical equipment;’;

  2. 2..

    in Annex I, footnote 5 is replaced by the following:

    ‘(5)

    Raw milk used for the manufacture of skimmed-milk powder must meet the requirements specified in Section IX of Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 853/2004.’
