Division 1 The critical control points that determine the extent of the heat treatments applied in processing shall include for each processing method as specified in Chapter III:

  1. (a)

    raw material particle size;

  2. (b)

    temperature achieved in the heat treatment process;

  3. (c)

    pressure, if applied to the raw material;

  4. (d)

    duration of the heat treatment process or feed rate to a continuous system. Minimum processing standards must be specified for each applicable critical control point.
