F1This Article does not apply to the classification of carcasses by slaughterhouses in England (see section 40(1) of the Agriculture Act 2020).

F2This Article does not apply to the classification of carcasses by slaughterhouses in Wales F3(see section 35(1) of the Agriculture (Wales) Act 2023).

F4This Article does not apply to the classification of carcasses by slaughterhouses in Scotland (see section 11 of the Agriculture (Retained EU Law and Data) (Scotland) Act 2020).

F5By way of derogation from point C.III of Annex IV, the appropriate authority may make regulations providing for the following criteria for classification of lambs of less than 13kg carcass weight:

1. (a)

   carcass weight;

2. (b)

   colour of meat;

3. (c)

   fat cover.
