Division 2.2 Vapour pressure, volatility

United Kingdom

Original text. Later amendments are not shown.

The vapour pressure of purified active substance at 20 °C or 25 °C shall be reported. Where vapour pressure is less than 10–5 Pa at 20 °C the vapour pressure at 20 °C or 25 °C shall be estimated by a vapour pressure curve with measurements at higher temperatures.

In the case of active substances which are solids or liquids, volatility (Henry’s law constant) of purified active substance shall be determined or calculated from its water solubility and vapour pressure and be reported (in Pa × m3 × mol–1).
